Yep, you heard!!! Antiquarian rockin’ sounds ‘n’ nuthin’ else!!! I’m bringin it back to tha people!!! Dig?

I’ve been doing this for about 100000000000000000 years. This and making retro music for the future — for a time when The Past itself will have run out of juice. I used to distribute this thing in the Heart & Hand pub, Brighton, with a few copies left in Borderline, just over the road. I thought the word would spread. But that was not to be. Even going online didn’t git me some. My first website, www.geocities.com/rockhunteronline/, got jammed up somehow and stopped working.

Nos. 1-3 (June 1992, March 1994 and June 1996) were typed and printed, No. 4 was typed and photocopied (Somewhere between September 1997 and July 1999, but things had grown hazy and I can’t remember the dates.) These were glossy covered 20-30 page mags with black and white pics. Except for No. 4, the ‘breakdown issue’, which featured a glossy cover on a dozen pages of very closely handwritten text, the meanings of which are a little bit uncertain. You’ll find photos of the original blotches, botches ‘n’ all cover art for Nos. 1 to 4 below.

Nos. 5-18 were done on a PC and laser-printed then photocopied as coverless newsletters. Anything from No. 19 on was issued first as a blog post. It’s a lot less bother, but a lot less fun to do because it takes less effort and I don’t get into quite so many arguments about the content and my opinions about it. If anything, fewer people read it now than when I used to distribute the print version in Borderline Records and the Heart and Hand. Like a used-up cartridge, I’m getting fainter!!!
