Rockhaunter

Divergency, amateurism, mundaneity and laughter
I suppressed Rockhunter and transformed it into Rockhaunter on 31 August 2007. Having thought about the interplay between antiquarianism, popular music, fictional histories and tradition for a long time, that was the day I realised and professed that I was a hauntiquary — and probably had been all along! On discovering this truth, I immediately invented the term “hauntiquarianism” to describe my endeavours.

Hauntiquarianism is envisaged as a jolly response to, and furtherance of, current discussions of hauntology, which seem, due to the small number of participants, to be reaching a consensus on music, film, topography and local history. Rockhaunting is all about arguing about the provenance and depositioning of antiquarian sound and vision till reason laughs.
