I played in the Fire Dept from 1987 to 2004.

I got involved with other bands from time to time. In the late 1990s, I played bass for Vibrasonic on their first album, Vibrasonic (Yep! Records, 1995) and on their second album of psychedelic surf instrumentals, Instrumental Vibrations (Yep! Records, 1996). I also played bass on Stewart Home Comes in Your Face (Sabotage Editions, 1997), which featured re-recordings of punk rock tunes previously recorded by Stewart Home in various bands between 1979 and 1986 and subsequently lost.

I’m currently writing and recording some songs with Billy Childish and Julie Hamper in a band called The Vermin Poets.

Fire Dept, L’Oeuf d’Or (1995). The songs on this album were recorded during various sessions at Toe-Rag Studios, between 1991 and 1995.

Fire Dept, Elpee for Another Time (1996). This is our mythical punk rock concept album about time travel.

Fire Dept, The History of Fen Punk, Vol. III (2003). For fans only. A collection of stuff from 1988 to 1995 from rehearsal tapes and unreleased Toe-Rag sessions.
